What happens to transparency when I convert to JPEG?
The JPEG format inherently does not support transparency (alpha channels). Consequently, any
transparent areas in your original PNG or WEBP will be filled with a solid color. By
default, our tool uses White, but you can customize this via the color picker.
Does converting a JPG to PNG improve its quality?
No. While PNG is a lossless format, converting a lossy JPEG into a PNG cannot restore data
that was already discarded during the initial JPEG compression. It will simply create a
heavier file containing the exact same visual information.
